SHAVE THE MONKEY Shave the Monkey started out back in 1988 and played together for some 15 years until 2003. Now every now and again they come back for reunions at various festivals over the UK and Europe.Shave the Monkey's influences came from many sources, including traditional, rock, early and classical music, as was evident in its unique style. Their command of over 20 instruments which spanned ten centuries, coupled with superbly crafted songs made what can only be called an electric performance. Shave performed at many of Europe’s top festivals including Fairport Convention’s Cropredy Festival, Cambridge Folk Festival, Dranouter Festival in Belgium and Zwolle Folk Festival in Holland. When not performing at festivals the band was playing up and down the UK in folk clubs and art centres.
