They were joined by a talented guitarist Eddie Baird and Amazing Blondel were recommended by the members of the band Free to Island boss Chris Blackwell. After signing to Island Records and Artists, Amazing Blondel quickly produced three albums (Evensong,Fantasia Lindum,England)with the above line-up and undertook a series of intensive international and national tours to promote them. With the demise of John Gladwin the band continued as a duo and released 5 other albums before being reunited once again to record their comeback album ‘Restoration’ in the early nineties. With its release and a series of tours across the UK & Europe, John decided to call it a day once more and Blondel carried on as a duo.Sunshine and Showers is the first release of the band in some 10 years and is sure to be of interest to its loyal following aswell as those who search the music world for something a little different from the ‘Norm’ TRACKS 01.
